Ecrademy (Innovative Education Network Ltd) is committed to protecting your privacy, and we take our responsibilities regarding the security of user information very seriously. This policy complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018.

Our website is structured so that you can visit without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. If you choose to identify yourself with us and disclose any information(in order to get further access to our documents), it will be only be used to process enquiries that you have raised. The Data Protection legislation claims that any personal information collected is not kept indefinitely but only retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was provided.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to do so by law. If you would like your details to be removed from our system permanently you can do so by writing to us or emailing us. Where you have given us permission to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. You may also request details of personal information, which we hold about you.

How we use student data

The students’ information we collect and hold consist of:

  • Personal information (such as name, unique pupil number and address)
  • Attendance information (such as sessions attended, number of absences and absence reasons)
  • Any Special Educational Needs Information

The lawful basis on which we use the information we collect and use pupil information is outlined under the following conditions;

(e) Public task: the processing is necessary for you to perform a task in the public interest or for your official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law. (f) Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party unless there is a good reason to protect the individual’s personal data which overrides those legitimate interests.

In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, we will inform you whether you are required to provide specific student details information to us, or if you have a choice in this regard.

How we use student data
Storing pupil data

We hold pupil data for a specified period. We do not share information about our pupils with anyone without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.

If for any reason you believe that any information we are holding about needs to be modified, or youwould like a copy of the information we hold about you please contact the Data Protection Officer. Any incorrect information will be corrected promptly.
With regards to the personal data we hold about you, you have the right to:

  • object to processing when we are relying on a legitimate interest to process your information or are using it to directly market to you
  • limit processing when you have exercised your right to object or believe our records need amending
  • request to remove the data we hold about you if we have no compelling reason to continue to do so
  • be informed about how we collect and use your information, along with the rights you have over your information.

Security

We are obligated to ensure the information we hold about you is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have technical and organisational measures established to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In the event we engage a third party to perform a processing activity on our behalf, we will ensure that corresponding security measures are in place and engage them under a contract that meets the requirements under data protection law.
